Teachers Links

DataStreme supplies a weather education program from the American Meteorological Society along with real-time weather maps, data, radar, and satellite images.

Interactive Weather provides satellite images from NASA's Global Hydrology and Climate Center.

NASAexplores offers weekly lesson plans for grades K-4, 5-8, and 9-12 based on current NASA projects.

NASA's Visible Earth serves as a clearinghouse for thousands of satellite-derived images.

Satellite Meteorology for Grades 7-12 was developed for older students, but contains an excellent overview of satellite imagery information.

Students' Cloud Observations On-Line (S'COOL ) Participants enter their weather observations into an online NASA database when a satellite passes over their location.

The Weather Underground gives up-to-date weather information for any location in addition to historical data.

Weather Here and There is a 4th- 6th grade, integrated weather unit developed by the National Center for Supercomputing Applications.
