Join Us

If your team applications show us you can work together quickly and accurately and that you are not afraid to study, apply new ideas, and explore where few have ventured before, you will qualify to join us on an e-Mission™.

Please go to the application process. Study, think, talk together, and prepare your teams' applications. If we accept your work, your team will assist us during e-Mission: Space Station Alpha.

Here's the Plan
After you are accepted for the e-Mission, your teams will have to train. Your job is to analyze the potential hazards faced by the astronauts on board the space station during a solar storm. You will learn about space weather, the dangers of radiation, the life support systems on the space station, and how to use the resources available to protect the astronauts from radiation.
On mission day you will monitor the life support systems and the radiation levels measured by instruments installed on the space station and by portable monitors that move around with the astronauts as they work. Your job is to protect the astronauts throughout the ongoing dangerous solar storm. Power will be a huge concern; the astronauts will need to have enough electricity to power the systems and implement safety strategies. Your teams must be prepared to analyze this data. Throughout the e-Mission you will be able to see and talk to us here in Mission Control. We will work closely together.

Good luck with your application!
